We're taking a different approach to our hackathon. Instead of reworking the data set during the meeting, we're looking for folks to do their dashboard/story/visualizations before we arrive.
Who can participate?
Anyone who rsvp's for the event can submit! You can work individually - or form a team to collaborate on the ultimate makeover.
How do we sign up?
Please email bill.cannell@gmail.com if you are interested in participating. If you need help finding a team, please indicate that in your email.
What do we submit? A whole dashboard? A story? A single viz?
The answer is "Yes." Feel free to submit whatever you like. The good news is that there are number of vizzes
included in the article. Pick one, two or all of them and work your magic!
How do we submit our work?
Please publish your work to Tableau Public no later than Midnight on Friday, March 5. Be sure to email the link to bill.cannell@gmail.com to let us know you have submitted work.
(You can also attach your workbook to that email).
How will presentations work?
We're planning on having three or four presenters, allowing each group ~10 minutes to walk through their work. We can't guarantee that everyone who submits will be chosen to submit!
How will we know if we will be presenting our makeover?
The planning group will review the submissions on Monday, March 8 and let you know.
(If you would rather not present, let us know. No pressure!)
What does the winner get?
Everyone is a winner in this hackathon. While competition is always fun, the point here is to show off skills and learn from one another?
