About this event

In today's data-driven world, dashboards are everywhere. But are we always reading them correctly?

A well-designed dashboard can carry real insight. It can just as easily lead to a misleading conclusion when we overlook context, data quality, or the question that sat behind the numbers in the first place.

In this session we explore how to think critically about data, recognise the common mistakes people make when interpreting a dashboard, and turn numbers into meaningful insights. Through relatable workplace examples you learn how to ask better questions, understand what a visualisation is actually showing, and make more informed decisions. The session also introduces the role of Tableau in making data exploration and visual analytics more accessible.

What you take away:

  • How to spot the context a dashboard is not showing you.

  • The questions worth asking before you trust a number.

  • How visual analytics turns a report into a decision.

Who this is for:

Anyone who builds, presents, or acts on dashboards.
