About this event

Using Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) data across 18 natural hazards, this session demonstrates how clustering techniques can address real-world challenges like risk assessment and resource allocation. Attendees will learn to implement univariate and multivariate cluster analysis in Tableau and Python via TabPy, Tableau’s external integration with Python. Univariate clustering allows users to focus on specific hazards via a parameter, while multivariate clustering evaluates all hazards simultaneously. The session also showcases how to visualize and interpret clusters in a spatial context through maps, radar charts, and scatterplots.
