Generative AI is reshaping how we interact with dashboards, and bringing automated narrative context directly into Tableau transforms how users consume data. In this session, we will focus on building custom Tableau Extensions designed to generate dynamic, natural-language narratives right alongside your vizzes. We’ll explore how to plug in and swap between various AI models to compare how their outputs differ on the exact same data. We'll also look at creating different insight modes tailored for different audiences. Finally, we’ll walk through the complete lifecycle, taking this extension from local development to a secure production deployment.
