Jonathan Drummey has his dream job: tackling complex data challenges in service to the least advantaged people. PATH is a global NGO, one of the original grantees of the Tableau Foundation, and has used Tableau for vaccine development & distribution, malaria elimination, HIV management, COVID-19 response, and more. Jonathan will talk about how a kid from small town Maine became a Tableau Zen Master and is now lucky enough to build visualizations for PATH that are used around the world. He'll also demonstrate how to combine personal and professional interests with a deeper dive into a PATH use case and resulting blog post on using Tableau's relationships and the new v2020.4 map layers to solve a problem of sparse data, maps, and map borders.
Jonathan Drummey has helped thousands of users on the Tableau community forums and his blogs at DataBlick and Drawing with Numbers. As a volunteer on the #VisualizeNoMalaria partnership between the nation of Zambia, the Tableau Foundation, and PATH he contributed to the VizAlerts open source tool for advanced alerting & subscriptions in Tableau. For his services contributing to the worldwide Tableau community he has been honored as a Tableau Forums Ambassador and is an inaugural member of the Tableau Zen Master Hall of Fame. Jonathan is a Data Visualization Specialist at PATH where he provides technical assistance and training in data wrangling and data visualization for improving global health. He lives on the coast of Maine, USA.
