From 2012 to 2015, he was a postdoctoral associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. Muhammed received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), USA, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. Prior to his graduate studies, he received his B.S. degree in Software Development from the University of Tokyo, Japan.

Amir Meimand is a Principal Solution Engineer at Tableau in the area of Data Science and Machine Learning. His primary role is to help businesses leverage Tableau’s Predictive Analytics & Machine learning capabilities with the best practices to achieve quantum improvements. Amir has been working in this area for 8+ years.


Before joining Tableau, he was leading a team of Data Scientists in a SAAS based company based in Austin, TX to build a cloud-based ML platform for pricing optimization and sales maximization.


Amir holds a Ph.D. degree in Statics and Operations Research from Pennsylvania State University graduated in 2013.
