September is National Courtesy Month! Provide yourself and your Tableau dashboard consumers a courtesy by talking Accessibility and Tableau with us at the September Accessibility TUG meeting!
We've got some amazing speakers and updates lined up:
Sudhaa Ramakrishnan, one of our new Accessibility TUG co-leaders, will be sharing how her experience as a Tableau designer with epilepsy shapes the way she approaches visual design and dashboard development.
Roshni Gohil, our other new Accessibility TUG co-leader and Tableau User Group Ambassador, is bringing us the “deep cut” version of her hit Tableau Conference talk on accessibility, Accessibility Matters: Universal Design Means Data for All. This session goes beyond dashboards—you’ll leave with tips you can apply to slide decks, presentations, and more.
Blake Burgess, Tableau's accessibility expert, and our favorite unofficial Chief Accessibility Advocate, will demo some new Accessibility features in Tableau, including alt text for filters and updates that give users of screen readers more control when navigating visualizations. These improvements are literally putting data at our users' fingertips (or their preferred navigation method)!
We hope to see you there!
