Join us for our next Analytics Tableau User Group! The event will take place on September 26th at 6PM Paris Time - 12PM New York Time - 9:30PM New Delhi
We have some awesome talks for you :
- Aesthetic Insights: Enhancing Data Visualization Through Design Inspiration, Damola Ladipo will explore the role of design inspiration in enhancing the effectiveness of data visualizations in Tableau to create more engaging, understandable, and impactful visuals.
- The Case for Adding a GIS to Enhance Your Maps in Tableau, Dennis Kao will share his thoughts about designing maps in Tableau and showcase how he utilizes GIS software to prep and create spatial data for his map designs.
- Reporting Strategy and the Drama of Dark Mode Dashboards, presented by Ryan Gensel. The path from data to business impact often goes through a presentation layer (like a dashboard or Keynote), sometimes several, as a data point's message is translated across departments and levels. How do you design the right dashboard(s) for the right context so that they become a meaningful component in decision making? How do you anticipate the changing of focus as existing dashboards and inquiry become less interesting to the business? How do the dashboards you build compliment other data tools and platforms within your organization? Reporting Strategy is an approach to reconcile the emergent information architecture of your data tooling with decision making rituals of your organization. In this talk you'll learn how to navigate the traps of dashboards that never get finished and dashboards that don't get used. In a hands-on segment we'll use Tableau to create a simple, but effective dark mode dashboard.
