Data+Women Zurich continues under the theme of data art with an inspiring speaker: Julie Brunet, alias Data Citron.
"Just keep threading, dataphysicalisation in needle craft" explores the intersection of data and textile art, showing how needlework can be used as a powerful medium to represent, feel, and engage with data. Moving beyond screens and dashboards, this session will highlight how physical crafting processes—thread by thread—can bring datasets to life in tactile, tangible forms. Participants will discover how embroidery and stitching can embody patterns, rhythms, and narratives hidden within data, creating a unique dialogue between numbers and artistry. This talk invites you to rethink how we experience data, weaving together creativity, storytelling, and craft in a truly hands-on way.
