Using IPEDS, NSC, and Internal Data to Profile Student Leavers
Frank Alexander Rojas - University of Maryland College Park
UMD submits IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) Outcome Measures data on yearly basis. However, the information provided by the NSC (National Student Clearinghouse) has never been used internally to improve student success. I will be going over the steps and decision making I have taken to collate NSC, IPEDS institutional characteristics, and our internal warehouse to create a tableau report that can help deans, administrators, and others answer questions about students leaving and transferring out of UMD.
