Tableau's Data Management Add-On has a bunch of nifty features, including Data Catalog and Prep Conductor, and a few folks have asked about it. Lauren and David will share how their schools are using some of what's in the add-on.
Holiday Mad Lib!
Ginny Moench (Appalachian State)
It's December, and every December, Ginny creates a seasonal Mad Lib using Tableau. Don't believe us? Check the receipts: 2022, 2021, 2020, you get the picture.
What will this year's be? We hope you'll join us to see what Tableau functionality, song, and design Ginny will be mad-libbing!
You and all your fellow HETUGers
Last year, we made an emergency visit to the Tableau Doctor during our December meeting. We got some really positive feedback about it, and we liked positivity. We've decided that an annual visit to the Tableau Doctor is probably warranted, preventative care and whatnot.
Is there something you’ve been stuck on? A trick you specifically want to learn? Or a tableau public dashboard you’ve always wanted to reverse engineer?
During the meeting the crowd — including you! — will work through these questions together!
If you have some ideas, please Slack @HETUG leads in the #higher_ed_tug
Wrap-up and Chat
We'll close out the meeting with info about our next HETUG meeting, and then open up breakout rooms to chat! (Chat may extend past 4:30pm Eastern.)
