Love is in the air! We heart our HETUG co-leads and their awesome adventures. We'll meet Professor Drinkwater as he embarks on a new journey teaching data analytics and Tableau at UBC! We heart ways to make data-ing more efficient, and Christian Adams (UW) will show how to use Tableau Prep to scale your Tableau Server with published data sources! Also, HETUG stickers! We'd love for you to join us!

Log in, grab a treat, and take a comfortable seat. We hope you ♥ our Valentine's Day themed music!
We love stickers at HETUG HQ and had a bunch of HETUG stickers made up last year. We're super-excited about them and hope you are, too! We'll be announcing how you can get your hands on your very own HETUG stickers!
You probably already know Andrew Drinkwater--HETUG co-lead extraordinaire, the guy who loves to noodle with Relationships, and all around good elk (sorry, had to shoehorn in a Canada reference there). Andrew's going back to school, well, sort of. After years as a Senior Planning & Research Analyst at UBC before co-founding Plaid Analytics, Andrew's back at UBC, but this time, as an adjunct professor. He's going to share a little about that journey, what it's like to teach data analytics and Tableau, and what he's learned about Tableau by teaching Tableau.
"It sounded so easy when I told my boss I was gonna do this…" But as we all know, reality is often not as smooth as the demos and success stories claim. There are some really good reasons to use Prep and publish your data sources online, and Christian will share some of them. He'll also share some of the stumbling blocks his team tripped over along the way so you can learn from UW's experience.
No need to scale back your excitement about Prep! Learn how to use Prep to scale your Tableau Server with published data sources!
Find Christian on LinkedIn and Tableau Public!
We'll close out the meeting with info about our next HETUG meeting, and then open up breakout rooms to chat! (Chat may extend past 4:30pm Eastern.)
If you don't want to hang out to chat, we get it. But we also want to encourage you to check out the CCC TUG meeting on surveys!
Have a quick tip to share? A longer presentation? Want us to interview you in our Meet a Community Member segment? We want to hear from you!
Want to chat with other HETUG members? Have a Tableau question? Want a sounding board? We've got a Slack space for that.
