About this event

Olivia will speak about the different resources, opportunities, and inspiring sources that dashboard creators can utilize to further their Tableau skills, build their portfolio, and network with the larger community.

After a short break Michael will present Bad, Biased, and Baffling Bars to discuss how the humble bar chart still has an ability to mislead us about our data: it can hide, exaggerate, minimize, or even fail to communicate information entirely. I will discuss some some recent research (both mine and from others in the visualization community) around places where bar charts are not all they appear to be.
