We show an use case in which we pre-aggregate website data in Big Query to improve performance in Tableau. We go into the implementation and the effects of this change.
The Do's and Dont's of Dashboard-Layout in Tableau
This will be a fun rundown of the most important skills when it comes to designing and executing a dashboard in Tableau Desktop. For instance: What to consider before building a dashboard, how to tackle the frame logic, when (not) to use a custom navigation, how to approach mobile views etc.
Add on --> (( There are at least 8 aspects that I consider important to know when it comes to dashboarding in Tableau. I will give a brief overview but will not be able to tackle everything within this short session. The fun part: We will take a deep dive (with hands on examples of course) into one or two areas of interest for the attendees of the user group - so make sure not to miss the TUG this week 😊 ))
