Starting at a slightly earlier time of 15:00 this quarter, we'll be hearing from Raymond Lyle on building great tech communities, raising awareness with Jenny Gates on Accessibility in our visualisations, and looking to drive great conversations around Tableau and enablement in this space. After our two speakers (with a break in the middle), we'll have some food and drink and get some networking done. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Empowering Success: Building a Champions Programme - Raymond Lyle (Baillie Gifford)
I am delighted to share my experience in building a champions programme at Baillie Gifford, a leading investment management firm. Our journey began with a vision to empower individuals to achieve their goals through the power of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
At Baillie Gifford, we recognise the importance of harnessing the full potential of the tools we use daily, such as Microsoft 365, the Power Platform, and Tableau. With this in mind, we embarked on the exciting adventure of creating the Business Tech Community Champions Programme.
Throughout my talk, I will share insights into the challenges we faced, the successes we achieved, and the lessons we learned along the way. I hope that by sharing our story, we can inspire you to explore the possibilities of establishing a similar programme within your own organisation, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Visualisation For Everyone! - Jenny Gates
Being in charge of all things visual, I've been working alongside a team to build a web based app for simplified visualisation, leading me into the warm embrace of our Design and Accessibility Standard colleagues. This has lead me to explore and understand some of my own accessibility needs. I’d like to talk about my own experience with accessibility and also how we can all apply these principles to what we do in the world of data viz!
