The Magic of Visual Narratives: Crafting Plum Pudding Charts

First, we will have Islande share about the art of transforming ordinary data into captivating and engaging stories. Using Plum Pudding Charts, she will talk about how we can take numbers and information and transform them into narratives that grab people's attention.

Scoping Purpose-Built Dashboards using Figma: Workshop

Then, Annie will be conducting an engaging workshop on how to scope purpose-built dashboards using Figma.

Bring your laptops and a friend with you to do an in person workshop. You'll work your way through scoping an example case study in Figma, learning how to leverage the visual canvas of Figma to outline a dashboard and bring a mockup to life that you can share with stakeholders. You'll also get practice and examples of how to use purpose as a bouncer so that the end product meets your users needs and actually gets used!

We will wrap up the night with a fun quiz game, where you can win swag and then network with the NYC Datafam!
